I don’t remember the guy’s name but he told everyone one day that he was going to jump off of the sliding board and use a parachute that he had made. The buzz was all over the elementary school that day and until recess thee following day. All the kids were gathered around the sliding board and, true to his word, out came the guy wearing a backpack. We all watched him climb the ladder and he stood at the top for a minute basking in the glory of the entire 3rd grade looking up at him before he jumped.
I doubt if he ever jumped off of anything else in his life.
