I don’t remember a whole lot of the why I was there or who I was with but I know that there were at least three of us in the booth and it was about 11 o’clock on a Saturday night at Waffle House. The place was pretty full and we were seated at a booth directly adjacent to the entry.
We had just received our plates when I noticed two motorcycles pull into the parking lot. The two riders dismounted and proceeded into the restaurant; one posted up in the entry and the other strode in like he owned the place.
The biker who had come in walked quickly through the restaurant, stopped at a booth about half-way down, grabbed the man seated there (with several of his friends), pulled him out of his seat and proceeded to pummel him.
45 seconds later a man is lying unconscious on the (dirty) tile floor in a pool of his own blood and the two bikers are pulling out of the parking lot headed in opposite directions.
The paramedics showed up and carried the guy out on a stretcher. The police were there as well but they never asked any of the witnesses what happened.
I don’t know what that poor guy did but I’ll bet he doesn’t do it again.
